Aurora owns and operates its own water system, fed by Rocky Mountain snowmelt and river systems. Current storage capacity is anticipated to meet the city's needs well into the next century. In addition, Aurora residents pay lower water utility rates than people in many other metro area communities. Aurora’s wastewater treatment capacity is also sufficient to accommodate future growth.
