Your role and philosophy at your company:

Chair City Council meetings and be the public face of the city.  Open not closed, active not reactive, clear goals.
 

Where did you grow up and when did you move to Colorado? How did you find yourself in Aurora?

I moved to Colorado to attend the Univeristy of Denver.  I moved to Aurora in 1972 related to work.
 

What is your favorite thing about living in the metro area?

It is pretty easy to get around and do whatever you want.  Mountains are only an hour away.
 

Something you are proud of accomplishing (don’t be shy or modest, please):

Serving Aurora for 26+ years in several elected capacities.
 

What are your degrees and honors/awards you have earned/received?

B.A. from the Univeristy of Denver, numerous "Outstanding" awards from many organizations.
 

What do you do for fun?

Golf, reading, flying to new countries.
 

Do you have a favorite Aurora story?

The response of this city to the events of 7/20/12.
 

What would you say is Aurora’s biggest secret?

The successful interation of citizens from litarlly all over the world.
 

You would define Aurora’s strengths as:

A pro-business attitude combined with a real caring for the success of each individual.
 

What would you change in Aurora and/or the metro area?

Aurora in one county instead of three.
 

What do you think is the most important issue/challenge in Aurora?

Developing more water storage facilities and acquring more water rights.
 

How would you define a leader?

An individual who knows what to do, how to do, when to do, and why to do and is able to confirm same to others as appropriate.
